Are you receiving a retirement pension, surviving spouse's pension, orphan's pension, disability pension or a pension for a disabled person's child? Through annual indexation, your payments will increase by 0,4% as of 29 January 2010 to reflect the rise in the cost of living.

The Régie has made available to you the form prescribed by the Regulation to amend the Regulation respecting supplemental pension plans. It can be filled out directly on-screen.

Published on 11 November 2009, the Regulation respecting measures to reduce the effects of the financial crisis on pension plans covered by the Supplemental Pension Plans Act is available on the Publications du Québec web site. While it comes into force on 26 November 2009, it has effect as of 31 December 2008.

Survivors' benefits include the death benefit, surviving spouse's pension and the orphan's pension. You can now apply for them online. It's easier and the response time is generally shorter.

Published on 21 October 2009, the Regulation to amend the Regulation respecting supplemental pension plans is now available on the Publications du Québec Web site. It mainly provides for the application of:

• the funding measures set out in Bill 30 and refined by Bill 68
• the partition of benefits between former spouses in a civil union.

Actuaries can find this Canada Revenue Agency form, which must be sent to the Régie in certain circumstances, on our site.

The Annual Management Report 2008-2009 (French only) was tabled in the National Assembly on 17 June 2009. In it, the Régie gives an accounting of its achievements during the year covered.

The audited financial statements of pension plans must meet the standards of the Handbook published by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). Our June 2009 notice sets out the Régie's position on the application of the standards in sections 3862, 3863 and 4100 of the Handbook.
