Passage of a bill securing retirement pensions of retirees whose employer is insolvent

The Québec National Assembly has passed the Act to amend various provisions respecting supplemental pension plans, particularly concerning payment options in the event of an employer's insolvency (Bill 129). Read the press release. (French only)

New Chair of the Board of Directors named

During a meeting held on Wednesday, 8 December 2010, the Conseil des ministres named Ms. Francine Martel-Vaillancourt as the Chair of the Régie des rentes du Québec's Board of Directors. As of 14 February 2011, Ms. Martel-Vaillancourt will become the board's first Chair, designated under the Act respecting the governance of the Régie des rentes du Québec.
