Between now and 18 June 2010, the Régie will be sending annual notices to all Québec families who receive child assistance. This notice will indicate the amounts a family will receive from July 2010 to June 2011.

The Régie's May 2010 notice confirms the application of Canadian GAAP to audited financial statements for pension plans and funds.

In addition to chartered accountants (CA), certified general accountants (CGA) can now audit the financial statements of pension plans and funds if they hold a public accountancy permit. This also applies to certified management accountants (CMA) to whom a permit has been issued.

The Régie will participate in the Journées du vieillissement actif (French only) (Active Aging Days), which will be held on 20 and 21 May 2010 in Montréal.
