The Régie wins a prix Distinction

The Healthy Enterprises Group awarded the Régie a prix Distinction in the public sector category. The prize was given out at the gala held on 14 April 2014 as part of the Rassemblement pour la santé et le mieux-être en entreprise in Montréal.

VRSPs: two draft regulations

Two draft regulations were published in the Gazette officielle du Québec This link will open in a new window. on 12 March 2014:

  • the Regulation respecting voluntary retirement savings plans
  • the Regulation to amend the Regulation respecting supplemental pension plans.

This regulation makes consequential amendments that will harmonize supplemental pension plans, locked-in retirement accounts and life income funds with voluntary retirement savings plans (VRSPs).

The Québec Pension Plan fund's rate of return was 15,5% in 2013.

Today, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec published its results. The Québec Pension Plan fund's average rate of return over the past four years is 10,6%. For further information, read the press release (French only).

Bill restructuring defined benefit pension plans in the municipal sector

Today, at the National Assembly, Ms. Agnes Maltais, Minister of Labour, Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity and Minister responsible for the Régie des rentes du Québec, introduced a bill to restore the financial situation of defined benefit pension plans in the municipal sector.
