President and Chief Executive Officer of the Régie des rentes du Québec

Mr. Denys Jean

Since 29 August 2011, Mr. Denys Jean has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Régie des rentes du Québec as well as a member of its Board of Directors. Since September 2011, he has also been a member of the of the boards of directors of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and the Centre de services partagés du Québec.

Mr. Jean has a bachelor's degree in economics. He has held several high-level positions in the Québec public service since 1991. At the time of his appointment to the Régie in July 2011, he was Secretary of the Secrétariat du Conseil du trésor, Deputy Minister at the Ministère des Services gouvernementaux and Chief Information Officer.

He was Deputy Minister at the Ministère des Transports from 2006 to 2009, after having held the same position at the Ministère des Affaires municipales et des Régions from 2003 to 2006. Prior to those appointments, he was Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de la Métropole from 1999 to 2003 and the Ministère de l'Environnement from 1991 to 1999.
