Our sustainable development action plan

The Régie des rentes du Québec's Sustainable Development Action Plan 2009-2013 was drafted in conformity with the Sustainable Development Act, assented to in April 2006. The Action Plan outlines the actions that the Régie will take in support of the Government Sustainable Development Strategy 2008-2013, which came into effect on 1 January 2008.

In choosing its actions, the Régie considered the 16 principles underpinning sustainable development, defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Sustainable development is based on a long-term approach that takes into account the inseparable nature of the environmental, social and economic dimensions of development activities.
