Our strategic plan

In its Plan stratégique 2012-2016 (2012-2016 Strategic plan; French only), the Régie des rentes du Québec reaffirms its pledge to being an action-oriented organization that is forward-looking, driven to perform, committed to serving all citizens and focused on improving Quebeckers' financial independence in retirement.

Our challenges and priorities

  • Challenge 1: Ensuring Quebeckers' financial independence in retirement in a changing socioeconomic context

    Against a shifting socioeconomic backdrop, financial independence in retirement is becoming harder to achieve. We must bulwark Québec's retirement system against this changing backdrop so that it continues to play an effective role in helping individuals build their financial independence in retirement.

  • Challenge 2: Providing quality services in the face of increasing demand and a scarcity of resources

    The quality of our services is paramount. For this reason, we must constantly strive to improve our services in accordance with the needs and expectations of citizens, while keeping costs reasonable.

  • Challenge 3: Ensuring our organization is recognized as an employer of choice and has the skilled resources to meet its challenges

    Our organization is renowned for its performance, the quality of its services and its ability to innovate. The current labour market has encouraged us to strengthen our status as an employer of choice and showcase the skills of our employees.

Our main priorities for 2012-2016

  1. Tailor the retirement system to the demographic and economic context.
  2. Explore new avenues for maintaining the quality of our services by harnessing digital and communications technologies, the contributions of our partners and the expertise of our employees.
  3. Develop and use the skills of our employees. 
  4. Strengthen the Régie's unique advantages.
