Why do you authenticate my identity when I use one of your personalized services?

Some of our services require information contained in your file at the Régie. The user code allows us to authenticate your identity so that you are the only person who has access to your file. This procedure ensures a personalized service: questions adapted to your situation, answers online, saving your information, etc.

How do you authenticate my identity?

We can check your identity using clicSÉQUR, the Gouvernement du Québec's identity authentication service.

We check it when you select one of our personalized services.

How do I get a user clicSÉQUR account online

Why do I have to provide personal information that Revenu Québec already has in its files in order to sign up for clicSÉQUR?

Revenu Québec authenticates your identity because it has a lot of information that allows the Régie to apply the laws that cover the Québec Pension Plan and the refundable tax credit for child assistance.

Why can't I identify myself with my clicSÉQUR code?

If the personal information that we have in your file is different from the information at Revenu Québec, it is possible that you will not be able to use our online services. Contact us.

What should I do if the personal information sent by Revenu Québec is different from the information that the Régie has on file?
