This service allows you to obtain:

• the name of the pension plan
• the plan registration numbers (Retraite Québec and Canada Revenue Agency)
• the name and address of the pension plan administrator's representative.

This service:

• includes the pension plans currently under the supervision of Retraite Québec that are subject to the Supplemental Pension Plans Act. They are plans in which employers carry out activities under Québec jurisdiction in the private, municipal and university sectors or in some parapublic sectors
  
• excludes:
  • non-active or terminated plans
  • plans with 4 members or less, with the exception of simplified pension plans (SIPPs)
  • public-sector pension plans administered by Retraite Québec (French only)
    
  • voluntary retirement savings plans
  • the Québec Pension Plan.

If your plan is not supervised by Retraite Québec

If a pension plan is subject to the Supplemental Pension Plans Act and another provincial or federal pension plan act, the plan may be under the supervision of another agency having a mandate similar to that of Retraite Québec. In this case, the plan may not be on the list provided by this service even if the other agency must ensure, on behalf of Retraite Québec, that the rights of Québec workers are in conformity with the provisions of the Supplemental Pension Plans Act.

• Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada

A pension plan is also called a supplemental pension plan.
