• are a pension plan member
• have a locked-in retirement account (LIRA) or life income fund (LIF)
• are a pension plan administrator
• represent a financial institution
• are a professional involved in pension plans

What are the advantages of this online service?

You will be able to:

• find out which LIRAs and LIFs are offered by a particular financial institution
• obtain a complete list of financial institutions offering the type of transfer instrument that you are looking for
• find out if an LIF offers a temporary income

Which LIRAs and LIFs does this service include?

The service includes the LIRAs and LIFs that are currently active, subject to the Supplemental Pension Plans Act and registered with the Régie des rentes du Québec.

These are LIRAs and LIFs whose funds either originate from:

• a pension plan subject to the Act or
• a plan administered by the Commission administrative des régimes de retraite et d'assurances (CARRA).

The service does not include the LIRAs and LIFs that are:

• closed to new holders or revoked
• subject to another law, for example, those under federal jurisdiction
