Benefits under the Québec Pension Plan

The death of a relative may entitle you to certain Québec Pension Plan (QPP) benefits, including:

  • a death benefit;
  • a surviving spouse's pension;
  • an orphan's pension.

The deceased must have made sufficient contributions to the QPP for his or her relatives to be entitled to these benefits.
